About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Maths lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and abilities.
• Create a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages participation and success.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff, to ensure holistic student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement by participating in curriculum development and extra-curricular activities.

Key Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Maths, preferably across a range of Key Stages.
• Demonstrate a commitment to supporting students with special educational needs and a strong understanding of differentiated teaching methods.
• Exhibit excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to professional development.

Desirable Attributes

• Previous experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.
• Familiarity with the EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) process and related strategies.
• A passion for innovative teaching practices and creative problem-solving in education.
