Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher seeking a new opportunity? The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring them to achieve their full potential in mathematics and develop essential critical thinking skills. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for Mathematics, this is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons in Mathematics for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a love for Maths and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development within the Maths department, sharing ideas and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for behavior, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school's commitment to inclusive education.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to raising achievement for all students.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make Maths accessible and engaging for all learners.
  • Be proactive in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
  • Have excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
