Are you a passionate Maths teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive and collaborative learning environment?

A secondary school in Portsmouth, part of a dedicated and forward-thinking trust, is seeking a Maths teacher to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners alike. ECTs with the potential to become exceptional educators will benefit from a full induction process led by experienced Maths leaders, as well as access to ongoing professional development to support career progression.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to inspire a love of Maths and improve student outcomes.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives.
  • Uphold the school's values, promoting high expectations for behaviour and learning.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a Maths teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is on track to achieve it.
  • Demonstrates a passion for Maths and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Is committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Shows a willingness to engage in and contribute to ongoing professional development.
  • Shares the trust’s vision of empowering students academically and personally to achieve their best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
