Level 2 Specialist Teaching Assistant

 

A specialist outwards looking, inclusive SEN/SEMH school based in Preston are advertising for teaching assistants full time to start ASAP. The school caters for primary aged children that may have special educational needs such as ASC and MLD and may have struggles with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

Essential Qualifications and experience

  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification – appropriate for the role advertised or equivalent
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Recent experience of working with children in KS1 or KS2 
  • Knowledge of classrom roles and responsibilities
  • Recent experience of supporting and assisting pupils with their learning

Desirable Qualifications and experience

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Team Teach Certificate
  • Experience of administrative tasks 
  • Experience of working with children with SEND
  • Experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
