Position: Teaching Assistant 
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £12.90 p/h

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a primary SEN school in Burnley. This is a temporary role, perfect for someone eager to work in an inclusive, rewarding environment where every day brings new opportunities to help students grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Helping to manage behaviour and encouraging positive social interactions.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
  • A team player who can communicate effectively with both staff and students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
