Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are looking for a committed 1:1 Support Assistant to work full-time in a dedicated SEMH provision in the Rawtenstall area, supporting both Primary and Secondary pupils.

Important information:

  • Full-time 8:15am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday. 
  • Start: ASAP 
  • Pay: £12.90 p/h

Role Overview:

  • Provide 1:1 support to help pupils access the curriculum effectively
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support during lessons, break, and lunch times
  • Tailor learning strategies to individual needs, promoting positive engagement
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in working with children with SEMH or similar needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help pupils succeed
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships with students

This is a full-time role (Monday - Friday), with the possibility of becoming temp-to-perm for the successful candidates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
