Learning Support Assistant Needed – Year 4 – Bispham

Start Date: After the May Break
Location: Bispham, Lancashire
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Position Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Year Group: Year 4

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bispham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 4. This role is to begin immediately after the May half-term break and will run for the remainder of the academic year, with potential to continue in September for the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child in Year 4 with specific learning needs

  • Supporting their access to the curriculum both in and out of the classroom

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities

  • Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have prior experience supporting children in a school or SEN setting

  • Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable to individual needs

  • Show a genuine passion for making a difference in a child’s learning journey

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS certificate registered on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
