Job Title: KS3 Teacher – SEN

Our client, a dedicated SEN school in Dorset, is seeking a passionate and adaptable KS3 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with special educational needs, helping them develop both academically and personally in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of KS3 students with special educational needs.

• Differentiate teaching strategies to support students with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

• Work closely with SEN specialists, support staff, and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and engagement.

• Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.

• Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet individual learning needs.

• Promote positive behaviour management strategies to support students’ well-being.

Person Specification:

• Must have previous SEN teaching experience in a school setting.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential – strong teaching experience will be considered.

• A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• A passion for supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
