Job Title: KS3 Teacher – SEN
Location: Dorset
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time
Our client, a dedicated SEN school in Dorset, is seeking a passionate and adaptable KS3 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with special educational needs, helping them develop both academically and personally in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of KS3 students with special educational needs.

Differentiate teaching strategies to support students with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Work closely with SEN specialists, support staff, and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
-
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and engagement.
-
Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
-
Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
-
Promote positive behaviour management strategies to support students’ well-being.
Person Specification:
-
Must have previous SEN teaching experience in a school setting.
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential – strong teaching experience will be considered.

A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching.
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-
A passion for supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
