Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking for a permanent position for the next academic year? Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Poole, and we are seeking a full-time Science Teacher to start in September 2025 on a permanent contract.

About the Role:

This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of a school that is committed to delivering a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum, supporting students of all backgrounds and abilities. As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience.

  • Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking.

  • Use a variety of strategies to differentiate and support individual learning needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour and a respectful learning environment.

  • Track and assess student progress, providing effective feedback.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and curriculum development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.

  • A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, with strong subject knowledge up to GCSE level.

  • A passion for Science education and an ability to engage and inspire young learners.

  • Confidence in managing the classroom and creating a positive learning atmosphere.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
