Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Walton-on-Naze

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring in English and Maths for Key Stage 3 students
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on performance and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students' academic development
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a school or learners home setting
  • Travel to student's homes for tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
