Job description

Job Title: GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Colchester

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths GCSE intervention sessions to students
  • Create individualised learning plans to address specific learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Support students in improving their understanding and skills in English and Maths
  • Collaborate with other educators and school staff to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching English and Maths at GCSE level
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse learning needs

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the GCSE level, in line with the UK curriculum

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in their learning
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Experience in providing one-on-one tutoring or intervention support

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a learners homes or local libraries
  • May require travel to different locations within the area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
