Graduate Teaching Assistant Position Available
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance. The role offers a competitive weekly pay range of £419.25 - £500.
Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students across various subjects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Support: Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Individual and Group Support: Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help, ensuring they can keep up with the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Resource Preparation: Helping to prepare teaching materials, such as worksheets, presentations, and other educational resources to enhance lesson delivery.
- Progress Monitoring: Keeping detailed records of student progress, identifying areas where additional support is needed, and reporting to teachers and senior staff.
- Exam Preparation: Assisting in organizing and conducting revision sessions, practice exams, and study groups to ensure students are well-prepared for assessments.
- Mentoring: Offering academic and emotional support to students, fostering a supportive and motivating environment to encourage student success.
- Administrative Tasks: Supporting teachers with various administrative tasks, such as marking, data entry, and maintaining classroom displays.
Requirements:
- A degree in any subject area.
- Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Previous experience in a teaching or tutoring role is advantageous but not essential.
