Job description

Are you a graduate with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We're working on behalf of a respected school in Rawtenstall, who is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Role Overview:

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Rawtenstall (Primary & Secondary SEN Provision)
  • Salary: £13.75 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Start Date: Immediate start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a range of SEN needs in both primary and secondary settings
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning programs and activities
  • Provide personal care and support as required by the students
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to ensure the student's needs are met
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive environment for students to thrive in

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for working with young people with SEN
  • Graduates with a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field are highly encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Willingness to provide personal care when needed
