Pupil Support Worker

Location: Rawtenstall | Temp to Perm Opportunity | Full-Time Position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | £13.75p/h

We are currently seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Worker to join a supportive school in Rawtenstall on a temp to perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and nurturing environment, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support for students to help them access the curriculum.

Assist students in overcoming academic or behavioural challenges.

Help develop and implement strategies to improve students’ engagement and progress.

Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.

Encourage students to develop self-confidence, independence, and resilience.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children, particularly in a school or educational setting (SEN experience is a bonus but not essential).

A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The ability to motivate and inspire students, encouraging them to reach their full potential.

A proactive, flexible attitude and a passion for supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
