Teaching Personnel are working closesly with schools in Lancashire that provide exceptional support for children with a range of special educational needs. Our dedicated staff work closely with each child to ensure they feel safe, valued, and equipped to achieve their full potential. 

Role Overview: As an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs on a day-to-day basis. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities to students.

  • Providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs.

  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Encouraging positive behavior and emotional well-being.

  • Supporting students with personal care needs when required.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN.

  • No formal qualifications are required; however, any experience or training related to SEN is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
