Cover Supervisor – Stockport

Location: Stockport
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, temporary with the possibility of a permanent role

A secondary school in Stockport is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching, as it provides valuable classroom experience. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans, ensuring students remain engaged and productive during lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
Maintain a structured and positive learning environment, ensuring classroom behaviour is managed effectively.
Encourage and support students to complete their work to a high standard.
Work closely with teaching staff and senior leadership to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong communication skills and confidence in managing a classroom.
Experience working with young people in a school, tutoring, or youth work setting (desirable but not essential).
A proactive and adaptable attitude to work across different subjects and year groups.
A degree qualification or relevant experience in education is advantageous.
