Cover Supervisor – Stockport

Location: Stockport
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (with potential for long-term placement)

A secondary school in Stockport is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support with planned and unplanned staff absences. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching or individuals with experience working with young people in an educational setting.

Role Overview:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in the absence of teaching staff.
Maintain classroom discipline, ensuring students stay engaged and on task.
Support students with their work, answering questions, and providing guidance where necessary.
Assist in school-wide duties such as break and lunchtime supervision.
Gain valuable classroom experience, ideal for those considering teacher training.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity is desirable.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
