Cover Supervisor – Full-Time Role
Location: Stockport
Contract: Full-time, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week

Rated Good by Ofsted, the school is seeking a confident and motivated individual to support the delivery of lessons across various subjects. The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. While this is not a teaching role, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson materials, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students remain engaged with their work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising lessons across different subjects, ensuring students follow the work set by the teacher.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Providing guidance and support to students where necessary.
  • Ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment.
  • Reporting lesson progress and any incidents to relevant teaching staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong interest in education and working with young people.
  • Can confidently manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Is adaptable, reliable, and able to work across different subjects.
  • Holds a degree or has experience working in a school or youth setting (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
