Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location:

North West England, Greater Manchester, Sale

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£90 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teachers
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans left by the teacher
  • Assist with the implementation of the school's behaviour management policy

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow and implement lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school's schedule and policies. It may require standing for extended periods and dealing with challenging behaviour from students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
