This role involves working closely with the student to provide tailored support that addresses their unique needs, helping them re-engage with education and achieve their potential. The school caters to students who have faced difficulties in mainstream education, often leading to expulsion. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in alternative provisions and a proven ability to manage challenging behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student, offering consistent support and guidance.
• Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behavior.
• Foster a safe and encouraging learning environment to help the student stay engaged and motivated.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create a personalized learning plan.
• Promote the student's social and emotional development, enabling them to achieve their goals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in alternative provisions is essential.
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students with behavioral challenges.
• Resilience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, professional relationships with students.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
