Teaching Assistant – No Experience Necessary
Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Contract: permanent, 40 hours per week, term time only
Hourly Rate:£12.37 - £13.49 per hour
Annual Salary: £22,102.72 - £24,103.93 actual salary
Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a fantastic College based in Cranborne. A specialist further education college providing day and residential support for young people with Autism spectrum conditions or additional social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key duties:
- Support and facilitate the learning and independence of our students.
- Contribute to planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of education programmes, plans and reports as required.
- Contribute to assessing, recording, and reporting on young peoples’ progress
- Promote and encourage independence at all times.
- Keep records accurately and up-to-date
- Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Promote the development of positive social behaviours and self-regulation skills
Successful candidates qualities:
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
- Please note that the minimum age to work on site is 21
- Be positive and creative in meeting young person’s needs
- Be able to work on your own as well as part of a team
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Competent ICT skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
