SEN Teaching Assistant - Bournemouth Area
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? We have exciting roles available across a range of schools within the Bournemouth area, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournemouth Area
Contract Type: Flexible – Full-time or Part-time
Position Type: 1-1 and Small Group Support
About the Role:
We are seeking a confident, reliable, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be supporting children with SEN across a variety of schools in the Bournemouth area. Whether you're working 1-1 with a child or supporting small groups, you will play a crucial role in helping children achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 and small group support to children with SEN
- Work alongside class teachers to tailor lessons to the individual needs of students
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of children
- Encourage and motivate students to engage with their learning
- Help implement and monitor individual learning plans
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within education, ideally supporting children with SEN
- Strong understanding of SEN needs and strategies for supporting learning
- Confident and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and passionate about supporting children’s development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
