Teaching Assistant

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant wanted in St Austell.

Location: St Austell

Our Special Educational Needs team at Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit the perfect Teaching Assistant to work across the key Stages on a 1:1 basis with children of varied additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates, youth workers, Sports coaches, residential support workers and experienced individuals who are passionate about working with SEN children. Any other relevant experience or qualification will be considered so please do get in touch to discuss this further.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting the students with their daily tasks both inside and outside of the classroom
• Working under the direction of the teacher to support them in class
• Building up good relationships with teachers and students
• Managing the classroom when needed
• Supporting children with SEN ranging from mild to severe.
• Working alongside the designated SENCO

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
