Launching Soon: The New Educator CPD Academy
On the 5th of November, we are excited to unveil our new eLearning platform, the Educator CPD Academy.
This innovative platform will enhance your learning experience while maintaining access to all the excellent online courses you currently enjoy by November.
We are collaborating with our existing CPD platforms to seamlessly transfer all courses and active learner data to the new platform by the Autumn Term. You won’t need to do anything; the transition will happen automatically. By the beginning of November, you’ll be able to access a dynamic new platform featuring an intuitive design, engaging content, and top-notch online accessibility features.
We’ve provided some FAQs below and will keep updating them throughout the transition. Rest assured, while the delivery method is changing, your learning experience remains the same!
Why are we upgrading to a new eLearning platform?
The landscape of eLearning and online training has evolved rapidly in recent years. To ensure we deliver the best learning experience for our educators and clients, our new platform offers a modern design, improved learner experience, and enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities.
When will the new platform be ready?
The new platform is set to go live on the 5th of November. We will keep you updated with regular communications and detailed timelines as the project progresses.
Will current learner data be automatically moved to the new platform?
Yes, learner data from the last two years will be securely transferred. If you enrolled, started, or completed a course within the past two years, your records will move with you. Please note that any courses started after July 15th will appear as "not started" on the new platform. For learners active within the last two years, historical records will also be accessible. Data for courses added or completed between July 15th and mid-August will be updated in mid-September.
How will I access the platform?
You will receive detailed instructions and login credentials via email. The platform is accessible through any modern web browser and is mobile-friendly, allowing you to use it on your smartphone or tablet.
What are the key benefits?
The new platform offers a sleek design, free courses, interactive modules, adaptive learning paths, and superior multimedia integration. These features make learning more engaging and efficient, providing a personalised and effective educational experience.
How will I log in for the first time?
By the 5th of November, you will receive an email with your login instructions, including your username. When you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to set a new password.
How will the layout of the new eLearning platform differ?
The new platform provides an improved learner experience with a modern, intuitive interface, easy navigation, enhanced accessibility features, and clear progress tracking. We will provide guides and tutorials to help you familiarise yourself with the new layout and navigation.
Will I lose my progress once we switch?
If you enrolled, started, or completed your course within the last two years, your learner records will be transferred. Courses that were "started" will be reset to "not started." Historical records will be available for those active in the past two years. Data for courses started or completed between July 15th and mid-August will be updated in September.
Will the courses be more interactive?
Yes, the new platform will make learning more engaging with interactive modules, quizzes, and multimedia content. Course content will be updated to maximise the interactivity features of the new platform.
Can I access the courses on my mobile device?
Yes, the new platform is designed to be mobile-friendly, allowing you to access your courses on your smartphone or tablet just as easily as on a desktop.
Will there be any downtime during the upgrade period?
We aim to ensure a smooth upgrade with minimal downtime. You will be notified in advance of any scheduled maintenance or downtime.
Will I still be able to access my old courses?
Yes, all existing courses and materials will be migrated to the new platform. You will have access to both current and past courses, ensuring continuity in your learning process. Note that any started courses will be reset to "not started."
Do I need to do anything now?
You can log into our current systems and download any certificates you may want for your records. Completion details and certificates in the new format will be available on the new platform. Other than that, keep an eye out for more updates on this exciting new Educator CPD Academy.
Who can I contact if I have any questions?
You can email educatorcpd@supportingeducation.com with any questions you have and our team will be able to assist.
