ARE YOU A QUALIFIED SCIENCE TEACHER WITH EXPERIENCE TEACHING IN UK SECONDARY SCHOOLS?
Teaching Personnel, the UKs leading education agency, is working in close partnership with an oustanding school in Coventry to appoint a qualified and passionate Science teacher on a full time basis.
The school is renowned for excellent pupil behaviour, positive academic results and strong collaborative ethic.
Hours: Full Time, term time only
Location: Coventry, CV6
Pay: To scale for long term positions (day to day rates may vary)
Start Date: ASAP
We are ideally looking for someone who possesses the below traits and experiences:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science
-PGCE successfully completed
- Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics in a UK secondary school
- Subject specialism in one of the main science subjects
- Experience and confident with planning and marking
- Ability to teach up to and including A-Level (desirable but not essential)
- Confident behaviour management techniques and a strong classroom presence
- Demonstrate a strong subject knowledge and understanding of the UK national curriculum for secondary science
- Excellent school based references
- Ability to commit to a full time position ASAP
- Enhanced, child only DBS (on the update service), or be willing to obtain one
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Planning and delivering high quality Science lessons catering to a range of year groups and abilities
- Differentiating each lesson to suit the individual needs within your classes
- Ensuring the best academic outcomes for Year 7 to Year 13 pupils in science
- Collaborating successfully with colleagues within the department to ensure it is a high performing subject within the school
- Communicating effectively with staff and pupils alike, creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Promoting equal opportunities and ensuring every student is able to thrive
- Assessing pupils' progress in a timely manner on a regular basis and providing them with both written and verbal feedback, condusive with their learning
- Contributing to the wider school community through active engagement with extra curricular activities, parent's evenings etc

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
