Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Supply Teacher for a temporary position in Skelmersdale, North West England. This is a full-time role, with an expected workload of 5 days per week.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students based on the school's curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment for students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance your own teaching skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Thorough knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and teaching standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of diverse learners.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a classroom setting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a teacher in a school setting.
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and create engaging learning experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in relevant subject areas.
  • Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students.

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
