Job description

Job Title: Year 5 Teacher

Location:

Located in North West England, specifically in Lancashire, Chorley.

Job Type:

This is a temporary position, with an expectation to work full-time hours in the field of Education and Training.

Salary:

The salary ranges from £140 to £190 per day.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to Year 5 students.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Year 5.
  • Strong classroom management skills.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience teaching in a primary school setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Experience with implementing assessment for learning strategies.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar and working hours typically from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
