Job description

Teaching Personnel is partnering with several mainstream primary schools across Sheffield and is currently recruiting Ad Hoc Supply Teachers for general cover and long-term positions.

Whether you are unqualified, an early career teacher, or an experienced educator looking to expand your network by working in various schools, we can offer you regular daily work.

If you're interested in flexible work, whether it's 2 or 5 days a week, we'd love to hear from you. Additionally, we have several pre-planned absences, so you’ll receive advance notice to prepare for the day ahead.

While responsibilities can vary between schools, typically you can expect to:

  • Prepare the classroom for lessons.
  • Deliver pre-set work.
  • Ensure students remain on task.
  • Provide support to students who need extra help.
  • Tidy up at the end of the lesson.

About you:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or expected QTS upon completing teacher training.
  • A passion for teaching and a strong desire to inspire young learners.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this if required).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
