Supply Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for supply teachers to join our team of people supporting schools across Manchester when managing their short-term absences.
Key information about this role:
- The schools that you will be working in will be located in Central Manchester, covering areas such as Whalley Range, Moss Side, Gorton and Levenshulme.
- You will work on a flexible basis, ensuring that you are in control of your own availability, allowing you to manage your work schedule.
- Throughout this role, you will be paid between £120 and £180 per day, depending on the school that you will be working in.
- You will work in a range of schools, with the opportunity to prioritise work in your preferred schools, Teaching Personnel currently work with 95% of schools in Greater Manchester, creating a lot of opportunity for you.
Throughout this role, you will have no planning or marking responsibilities which will significantly reduce your workload in comparison with working in a school on a permanent basis. Your role will be to effectively deliver the lessons that have already been planned for you by the regular teacher.
The Teaching Personnel registration process will include:
- You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check to ensure that you do not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from working within a school.
- You must also put this check onto the Update Service to ensure that it remains an active check that is transferable between schools.
- You will also be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references that will cover the last two years of your work history or anything education-based within the last ten years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
