We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Manchester. This role focuses on supporting students with additional needs, helping them engage with their education and achieve their goals. You will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Tailored Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a range of SEN requirements, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Adapted Learning: Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual learning needs, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
  • Inclusive Environment: Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment, fostering positive relationships and encouraging student participation.
  • Emotional and Social Support: Support students with emotional and social development, helping them build confidence and resilience.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and parents to implement and review personalised learning plans.

What You Need:

  • Experience working with SEN students or in a similar educational support role is highly desirable.
  • Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
