Learning Support Assistant – Manchester (Secondary School)

Location: Manchester
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our partner secondary schools in Manchester. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in psychology, special educational needs (SEN), or education who are looking to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Role Responsibilities:

• One-to-one and small group support – Work closely with students who require additional assistance, providing personalised learning support.
• Assisting SEN pupils – Support students with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and other learning difficulties.
• In-class support – Help students access the curriculum by adapting tasks and offering tailored support.
• Encouraging independence – Foster confidence and resilience in students, helping them develop essential learning skills.
• Collaboration with teachers and SENCO – Work alongside teaching staff to ensure individual education plans (IEPs) are followed effectively.
• Monitoring and reporting progress – Keep track of students' development, contributing to reviews and liaising with parents and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, SEN, or mental health support setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant degree in Psychology, Education, SEN, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
• A desire to positively impact students' lives and support their well-being.
