SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable client secondary school in Manchester city centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN) and provide them with the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem among students with SEN.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
• Manage challenging behaviors effectively, using appropriate strategies and techniques.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Role Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Knowledge of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of students.

The successful applicant can expect to earn up to £100 per day (depending on experience) in this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
