Learning Mentor - Manchester (Support Staff)

Location: Manchester
Salary: £85 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: February 2025

Are you passionate about empowering young people to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential? A secondary school in Manchester is looking for an empathetic and motivated Learning Mentor to work closely with students who may need extra support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted academic and emotional support to students, particularly those at risk of underachieving.
Develop and implement tailored learning strategies to help students meet their goals.
Deliver focused 1:1 and small-group sessions on topics such as study skills, confidence building, and behavior management.
Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in a mentoring or support role, ideally within an educational setting.
A caring and patient demeanor with the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and monitor student progress.
A background in education, psychology, or social work is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
