Your responsibilities will include:

- Follow the schools’ core values – Be Respectful, Be Ambitious, Be Kind!
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support, using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement.
- Foster strong relationships with students, providing a listening ear and a consistent, reassuring presence.
- Support students in small group settings or on a one-to-one basis, as required.
- Assisting, fun, and educational lessons across all subjects
- Supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of each child
- Completing group tasks with children independently
- Collaborating with the leading teacher to provide the best educational standard achievable
- Supporting a stimulating classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and grow
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers to support student progress, when needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or adults with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), or in a pastoral/support role is highly desirable. We find those with a background in mental health support or youth work thrive in this environment.
- A patient, calm, and understanding nature, with the ability to build trust with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different situations.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) are desirable but not essential.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about teaching young children.
- Experienced in educational background preferred but not essential.
- Patient, caring, and able to nurture the potential of every student.
- A positive role model who can build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A team player who is open to new ideas and enjoys collaborating with others.
