Job Title: ALN Teaching Assistant Specialist
Location: Llanelli
Salary: £83.85 daily rate

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ALN Teaching Assistant Specialist to join our team and support students with additional learning needs in our primary school setting.
Role Overview:
As an ALN Teaching Assistant Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional learning needs within the classroom. You will work closely with class teachers and the ALN Coordinator to create and implement individualised learning plans and provide tailored support to ensure all students are able to access the curriculum. The role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the delivery of bespoke interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress against targets.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel safe and supported.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure effective differentiation in lessons.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
- Promote the social and emotional development of students with ALN, encouraging independence and confidence.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Experience working with children with a range of additional learning needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
- A good understanding of strategies and interventions that support students with ALN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to behavior management.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
