Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Everton, Merseyside, Liverpool

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Help students with their learning activities and provide guidance as needed
  • Support students with personal care and hygiene as required
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or individuals with SEN
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) principles and practises
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required
  • Potential for personal care duties
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
