Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Location:

North West England, Merseyside, Liverpool

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Support the classroom teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Monitor and track student progress and behaviour patterns
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Experience:

Prior experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Additional training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, supporting students with challenging behaviour. The candidate may need to work flexible hours to accommodate school schedules and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
