Teaching Assistant (Reception Class – 1:1 SEN Support)

Location: Crawley
Role: Full-Time

About the Role

A highly-regarded two-form entry school in Crawley, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking enthusiastic and caring teaching assistants to join their reception team. This full-time role involves working 1:1 with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing consistent and tailored support to help them thrive within the classroom environment.

Consistency is crucial in this role, as many children with SEN benefit greatly from predictable routines and stable relationships with adults. You will play a vital role in nurturing their development, welfare, and independence while working closely with the supportive Nursery Lead to create engaging, play-based learning experiences.

  • Have high expectations and are dedicated to raising the achievement of all children.
  • Have experience working with children with SEN needs and understand the importance of consistency in their learning environment.
  • Possess a Child Only Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
  • Can use a variety of strategies to effectively engage and support children’s learning.
  • Are skilled at providing stimulating, engaging learning experiences that encourage independence and curiosity.
  • Are excellent role models for children, colleagues, and parents, demonstrating kindness and professionalism.
  • Are open-minded, positive, and aligned with the ethos, vision, and values of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
