Sport Coach SEN Teaching Assistant
Location – Bristol (BS)
Key Stage 1 – 4
Full time and part time positions available
Daily Rate - £89 - £110
Are you a sport coach and wondering on where to take your skills and expertise next? Then this role is for you! We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with a sport background to help support and nurture children with special educational needs (SEN) which can include obsessive compulsive disorder communication difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties, mobility difficulties, anxiety, and autism. Patience, communication and empathy are key requirements for this role.
Position Details:
- Start – Immediate, continuing through to the end if the academic year
- Hours – 8:30am – 3:30pm, ideal for students and parents
- Location – Bristol (BS)
- Potential for a contract with the school for the right candidate (if that’s your preference)
- On-site Parking is available
What you’ll do:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of the students, either in small groups of 2/3 or on a one-to-one basis
- Work in classrooms of between 8 – 10 students, alongside other teaching assistants to support the learning and development of the students
- Build trusting relationships with the students, in order to create an environment where they feel safe and can thrive
- Develop positive relationships with classroom staff, school faculty and students
- Represent yourself and Teaching Personnel in a respectful and professional manner at all times
Who are we looking for?
- A passionate individual eager to start or continue their career in the education sector
- Strong communication skills, reliability and punctuality
- Experience in the sport coaching profession in some capacity is desirable
- Experience working with individuals with additional needs, either professionally or personally, is preferred but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
