Daily Rate: £89 - £110 per day

We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. These students may face challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, communication barriers, autism, and ADHD. Position Details:

  • Start Date: Immediate, continuing through to the end of the academic year
  • Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (Perfect for students and parents!)
  • Location: Bristol (BS)
  • Potential for Contract: For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school
  • On-site Parking: Available

What You’ll Do:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities designed to meet the unique needs of students, whether in small groups (2-3 students) or on a one-to-one basis
  • Work in classrooms of 8-10 students, collaborating with other teaching assistants to help students achieve their full potential
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where they feel confident and supported
  • Develop positive, professional relationships with classroom staff, school faculty, and students, ensuring open communication and collaboration
  • Represent Teaching Personnel with professionalism and respect at all times, both as an individual and as a representative of our organization

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Strong Communicators: You’ll need to be reliable, punctual, and approachable, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Experience with SEN/SEMH (Preferred but Not Required): Experience working with individuals who have additional needs is desirable but not essential. A genuine passion for helping students with diverse needs is what matters most.
  • Behaviour Management Skills: Strong behavioural management skills are key to supporting students with complex needs, and we’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive, calm, and structured environment.
  • Willingness to Learn: We welcome candidates who are eager to develop their skills and are open to learning from more experienced staff.
  • Passion for Education: If you’re dedicated to helping children with additional needs and excited to begin your career in the education sector, this role is for you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
