Teaching Assistant Position
Location: Bristol (BS35)
Full-time and part-time positions available
Daily Rate: £89 - £110

We are currently seeking our next Teaching Assistant to support and nurture students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), which can range from physical disabilities and sensory impairments to restricted communication and challenging behaviour. Patience and empathy are key requirements for this role. You will be supporting students between the ages of 5 and 16.
Position Details:
- Start: Immediate, continuing through to the end of the academic year
- Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, ideal for parents and students
- Location: The BS35 area of Bristol
- Potential for a contract with the school for the right candidate (if that’s your preference)
- On-site parking available
What You’ll Do:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of the students, either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
- Work in classrooms with 8-10 students, alongside other teaching assistants, to support the learning development of the students
- Build trust with students and create an environment where they can thrive
- Develop positive relationships with classroom staff, school faculty, and students
- Represent yourself and Teaching Personnel in a respectful and professional manner at all times
- Assist with the basic care of the students, which may include help with feeding, changing, and other basic activities
Who Are We Looking For?
- A passionate individual eager to start a career in the education sector
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and punctuality
- Experience working within the education or care sector is desirable, but not essential
- Experience working with individuals with additional needs, either professionally or personally, is preferred but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
