Job description

Teaching Personnel, working in partnership with a vibrant secondary school in Romsey, Hampshire, is recruiting for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

About the Role:

This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role will involve:

  • Providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCo to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment in line with the school’s values of Care, Aspire, and Include.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and fostering positive relationships between students.

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting students with varying needs.
  • Experienced in working with SEN children (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficient in communication and collaboration with staff, students, and families.
  • Eager to contribute to the school’s ethos of nurturing student well-being and confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
