SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, enabling them to access the curriculum effectively.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, implementing strategies to support development in both academic and social skills.
• Foster a safe, inclusive atmosphere that encourages independence and resilience.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with:

• Previous experience working with children with SEND (experience in secondary schools is advantageous).
• A caring and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
• Strong communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families effectively.
• A commitment to promoting well-being and a positive learning environment.

Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
