Job description

Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) Required – SEND School in Basingstoke

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Teaching Personnel is seeking Learning Support Assistants for a SEND school in Basingstoke.

This welcoming SEND school caters to students with Autism diagnosis and associated behaviours. The school is seeking enthusiastic and committed staff to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with ASD and other associated diagnoses in their learning and development.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons that meet the needs of individual students.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and emotional well-being.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
  • Previous experience supporting students with SEND is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check or a willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
