Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a teacher of science, to join a Waterlooville based secondary school catering to students aged 11 to 16.  The school prides itself on providing a well-rounded education that balances academic rigor with personal development.

The school offers a broad curriculum designed to challenge students and prepare them for future success. In addition to academic subjects, students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs, which help to enhance their overall learning experience.

The latest Ofsted report highlights the positive atmosphere and effective pastoral care provided to students, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their educational journey.

The role:

The school require a teacher of science to join the department as soon as possible, on a full time, temporary or permanent basis.  The school will consider temporary teachers from February half term until July 2025, as well as educators seeking permanent positions from September 2025 or sooner. This role would require full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking and the successful educator will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4.  The science department within the school was recently refurbished and enhanced and each teacher has their own classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
