Job Description: Science Teacher
Location: North West England, Cheshire, Poynton
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £162 - £251 Per day
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to students
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
- Provide feedback to students, parents, and school management on student performance
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
- Supervise and support students in practical experiments and investigations
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Science or related field
- Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in teaching science subjects at GCSE and A-Level
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or Science
- Experience in preparing students for external examinations
- Participation in continuing professional development courses
Working Conditions:
- Regular working hours with occasional extra-curricular activities
- Classroom-based teaching with access to laboratory facilities
- Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
