Job Description: Science Teacher

Location: North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day

Job Duties:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to students
• Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment
• Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
• Provide feedback to students, parents, and school management on student performance
• Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
• Supervise and support students in practical experiments and investigations

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in Science or related field
• Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in teaching science subjects at GCSE and A-Level
• Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education or Science
• Experience in preparing students for external examinations
• Participation in continuing professional development courses

Working Conditions:

• Regular working hours with occasional extra-curricular activities
• Classroom-based teaching with access to laboratory facilities
• Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
