Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
- Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
- Assess and evaluate student progress
- Provide feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Science or related field
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level
Education:
PGCE in Secondary Science
Experience:
Teaching science at the secondary level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the secondary science curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Effective classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Experience working with Key Stage 4 and 5 students
Working Conditions:
The Science Teacher role is based in a school setting in Poynton, Cheshire. The position is temporary (1 year maternity cover) and requires working full-time hours. The teacher will be expected to adhere to the school's policies and procedures and collaborate with colleagues to support student learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
