Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and ambitious Science Teacher to join a vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Hyde. This school has a strong academic ethos, excellent leadership, and a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and attainment. It is an exciting time to join their Science department as they continue to develop their innovative curriculum and lab-based learning model.

Role Responsibilities:

• Teach across all Science disciplines (KS3) and ideally specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics at KS4.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application.

• Inspire students to pursue careers in STEM and make Science accessible and exciting.

• Support students with exam preparation, coursework, and revision, ensuring high engagement and outcomes.

• Collaborate with technicians and department colleagues to organise lab equipment and ensure safe, high-quality practicals.

• Contribute to extra-curricular science clubs, careers events or trips to enhance student experience.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and degree in a Science-related subject.

• A passion for Science education and commitment to fostering curiosity and independent thinking.

• Ability to differentiate lessons for students with varied attainment levels and learning needs.

• A calm, consistent teaching style with strong behaviour management.

• Open to applications from ECTs or experienced teachers – mentoring available for ECTs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
