Position Title: Graduate Cover Supervisor
Location: Secondary Schools in Manchester
Start Date: Immediate / As Required
Daily Rate: £89 – £95

Overview

This opportunity is perfect for graduates eager to step into the education field by gaining hands-on classroom experience. As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms in the absence of a teacher, providing continuity in learning while developing essential classroom management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Management: Supervise classes by implementing pre-arranged lesson plans and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused.

  • Behavioural Support: Apply school policies to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment, including managing any disruptions that may occur.

  • Lesson Facilitation: Assist with the delivery of lessons by providing additional support where needed, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.

  • Reporting: Keep detailed records of classroom activities, including student behaviour and lesson progress, to inform teaching staff of any issues or achievements.

  • Flexibility: Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and subjects, working under varying circumstances as required by the school.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any subject, eager to explore a career in education.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with students and staff.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.

  • Prior experience in any form of educational support or voluntary work with young people is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
