Science Teacher – Manchester
Location: Manchester
Salary: £150 - £210 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: Immediate
A well-established secondary school in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic Science department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career in a high-achieving school.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 for suitable candidates.

Use practical experiments, technology, and real-world examples to bring Science to life and inspire curiosity in students.

Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted intervention and differentiated support where necessary.

Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and academic achievement, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and participate in departmental meetings and CPD opportunities.

Prepare students for GCSE Science examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is desirable.
-
Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply).

A passion for Science education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
